The Zap Valley, originating from the Havaril Mountains, flows through the lands of Hakkâri and merges with the Tigris River in Mosul. The valley, which hosts oak forests up to approximately 2,000 meters in height, also enables the growth of Mediterranean plants thanks to its microclimate. Surrounded by the Cilo-Sat Mountains, Zap Valley offers ideal areas for hiking, mountaineering, and winter sports, making it one of the most impressive natural sites in Hakkâri.
