Sivas Atatürk Congress Museum
The Sivas Atatürk Congress Museum is housed in a building that holds historical significance in the foundation of the Turkish Republic. Initially a school from 1892 to 1911, the building became crucial during the early history of Türkiye. The Sivas Congress, the first national congress led by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was held there in 1919, marking an important chapter in the nation's struggle. After serving as the headquarters for the national struggle for 108 days, the building became a high school until 1981, before transforming into the Sivas Atatürk Ethnography and Congress Museum in 1983. Since 2016, it has operated as the Atatürk and Congress Museum, featuring various rooms on both floors dedicated to different themes related to Türkiye's history, including Mustafa Kemal's role, the Sivas Congress, and women's involvement in the national struggle.
