Şar Komana Ancient City is within the borders of Şar Village, 20 km from the Tufanbeyli district of Adana. It is a settlement from the Hittite, Roman, East Roman and Ottoman periods. It was an important religious center in the Kizzuwatna and Hittite Period. Roman monuments have survived to the present day in the region. The theater, Heroon (Broken Church), and the Corinthian Temple (Ala Kapı) are among the important historical ruins.
