Safe Tourism is an application certifying the safe tourism concept covering the whole course of travel of our domestic/foreign guests from their arrival at any airport in Türkiye until their return home/departure from our country. All our guests will be able to travel comfortably and safely with Safe Tourism which has been prepared in accordance with general instructions and guidelines published by ministries following intensive collaborative work.
The facilities, categorized in seven main titles -namely Accommodation, Food and Beverage, Culture, Art and Congress, Sea Tourism, Theme Parks, Ski Lifts and Tour Transfer Vehicles- are evaluated in accordance with the criteria forms prepared in accordance with international standards. Our guests will be greeted at airports by authorized personnel wearing protective gear such as masks, gloves, face visors, and goggles. Guests without face masks will not be allowed inside the airports and masks will be provided. All our guests will go through temperature measuring or thermal screening to detect elevated body temperature. There are sensor gates, electronic check-in, and special measures taken at the baggage area along with plexiglass barriers that minimize contact between guests and airport personnel. The seating areas and elevators have been rearranged to adhere to social distancing guidelines. In the case that a guest displays any symptoms, healthcare personnel with the required medical equipment will be available on-site and the guest will be tested for COVID-19. Quarantine rooms complying with all international standards and in case of any symptoms, healthcare services will be provided from the nearest health center.

Our guests will have access to tourist facilities after they go through temperature screening. All areas within the facility will be disinfected regularly. The ventilation systems will also be checked regularly. Disinfectants and hand sanitizers will be placed throughout the facility for our guests’ use. Social distancing rules will be applied in all common areas including swimming pools, meeting rooms, animations & recreational areas, and foyers. The facility will adhere strictly to reduced occupancy and guest capacity guidelines. Inside the guest rooms, disposable sanitary equipment will be available. All equipment will be disinfected after the guests’ check-out. There will be glass separators between the food and the guests at open buffets. The waitstaff will serve the food requested by the guests as part of preventative measures. In the kitchens, only the equipment that can be disinfected will be used. Disposable and packaged cutlery and seasonings will be available for guests at their table.
All transportation vehicles will be regularly sterilized and disinfected; the seating plan will be arranged to maintain social distancing guidelines. All guests will wear face masks during the trip. One seat will be left empty between each guest.
All staff will go through pre-shift screening for symptoms before they enter the airport facilities. Thermal cameras and non-contact thermometers will be used for screening. Our staff will receive regular hygiene and sanitation support. All necessary hygiene, sanitation, and medical equipment will be procured during the training period. Restrooms for the personnel and the guests displaying symptoms will be separate.
Safe Tourism Program includes accommodation facilities, restaurant and cafes, tour and transfer vehicles, marine tourism facilities and vehicles, culture, art and congress facilities, ski lift facilities and theme parks. The Safe Tourism Program applies to all cities in Türkiye and particularly the most popular tourist destinations including İstanbul, Mugla, İzmir, Antalya, and Nevsehir. The program is actively conducted for our guests to explore the most beautiful destinations in Türkiye with peace of mind. The main objectives of the program are to ensure continuous application of hygiene measures and to control the facilities where our guests expect to spend their holidays. The Safe Tourism-certified facilities are granted 2D codes with a logo. The Safe Tourism logo is placed in the transfer vehicles, the lobby of the accommodation facility, the facility’s elevators, the open buffet, and the activity spaces for the guests to be able to see easily upon their arrival at the airport. The Safe Tourism logo follows our guests all through their travels.
