Rahmi M. Koç Museums
Sabancı University Sakıp Sabancı Museum (SSM) is located in the Atlı Köşk, which was purchased by Hacı Ömer Sabancı in 1951. Initially used as the family's summer house, the Atlı Köşk later became Sakıp Sabancı's permanent residence and housed his valuable collection of calligraphy and paintings. In 1998, the property was allocated to Sabancı University and was transformed into a museum. The museum officially opened to visitors in 2002 after the addition of a gallery section, and it underwent further expansions in 2005 to meet international technical standards. Today, SSM features a diverse range of international temporary exhibitions, conservation units, training programs, concerts, conferences, and seminars, showcasing a multi-faceted approach to cultural engagement and continuing its role as a significant cultural hub.
