Pera Museum
The İstanbul Rahmi M. Koç Museum, located along the Golden Horn, has been offering a unique blend of culture and entertainment since 1994. The museum features a vast collection of over 14,000 objects, showcasing the history of industry, communication, and transportation. Its extensive collection includes submarines, trains, airplanes, classic cars, and more. While the majority of the collection stems from the private collection of Rahmi M. Koç, the museum is regularly enriched by donations and temporary exhibitions featuring significant items, such as World War II submarines and historical ferries.
The museum appeals to visitors of all ages with its range of exhibits, from an 1898 Malden Steam Car to a variety of historical scientific instruments, including a celestial sphere. It is organized into sections such as Atatürk, Highway Transportation, Railway Transportation, Maritime, Aviation, Nostalgic Shops, Communication Tools, and Scientific Instruments. The museum continues to be a leading institution in preserving and presenting the industrial and technological heritage of Türkiye.
