The Artvin Atatürk Monument in Atatepe, standing 22 meters high and weighing 60 tons, was commissioned by the Sıtkı Kahvecioğlu Foundation. The statue depicts the moment Atatürk walked over the rocks at Dumlupınar. It holds the title of the largest Atatürk statue in the world. Additionally, next to the statue, a Turkish flag measuring 216 square meters waves on a 60-meter-long pole.

Every year, during the last week of June, bullfights that last for three days are organized and attract significant interest from the locals, creating a festival-like atmosphere. The Kafkasör Highland also features healing waters known as Cıskaro, Yalnızhasan, and Acısu.

Dolishane Church

Dolishane Church's image
The Dolishane Church, located in Hamamlı Village in the central district of Artvin, was commissioned by King Sumbath of the 10th-century Bagrationi Dynasty and built between 954 and 958 by Architect Gabriel. Used as a monastery until the 14th century, the structure was converted into a mosque in the 16th century and served as a mosque for some time. It underwent partial restoration in 1958. This rectangular-planned church draws attention with its Georgian inscriptions, reliefs, and frescoes. Noteworthy details include a king figure, angels, and a relief of a "Sundial." Dolishane stands out as an authentic example of Georgian medieval architecture.
