Lake Nemrut, located on the summit of Mount Nemrut at an altitude of 2,800 meters in the district of Tatvan, Bitlis, is an enchanting natural wonder with rich historical significance. This crater lake, ranked second in the world for its size, spans an impressive 13 square kilometers, covering a third of the entire crater. With its unique combination of hot and cold lakes, Nemrut Lake captivates visitors with its awe-inspiring natural formations and serene atmosphere. Surrounding the lake are endemic plants, a rich variety of bird species, steam vents, and ice caves, making it a paradise for nature lovers.
