Malatya Museum
Malatya, located between Central Anatolia and Mesopotamia, has been a vital region due to its natural passages and water sources like the Euphrates River and Tohma Creek. The Malatya Archaeological Museum showcases artifacts from 8000 BCE to the present, highlighting the area's cultural history. The museum's collection includes pottery, weapons, seals, and jewelry from Arslantepe Mound, spanning the Chalcolithic to Late Hittite Ages. Additionally, it displays items from rescue excavations at sites like Caferhöyük and Değirmentepe, as well as artifacts from the Urartu, Roman, Eastern Roman (Byzantine), and Seljuk periods. The museum also features a coin section arranged chronologically.
