Witness the Evolution of Weaponry

The MKE Weapon Industry Museum (Silah Sanayi Müzesi) operates under the General Directorate of MKE Silahsan Light Industry and Trade Inc. The museum first opened on July 15, 1990, and after being reorganized in a larger space, it reopened on November 2, 1993. Most of the artifacts in the museum were collected by the government from the people of the Black Sea Region during World War II, while some were sent from the weapons factory in Istanbul-Tophane for preservation. Due to the shortage of steel materials during the war, a large portion of these weapons was melted down in the steel factory to produce barrel steel.
Currently, 299 artifacts are on display, arranged in chronological order from the 14th century to the present day.
