Opened in 2004 in Kültürpark, İzmir History and Art Museum is divided into three separate buildings: Stone Artifacts, Ceramic Artifacts, and Valuables. The Stone Artifacts section includes sculptures from various historical periods, tomb findings, and artifacts from İzmir Agora, as well as exhibitions on gladiators and the Olympic Games. The Ceramic Artifacts section displays a collection from Prehistory to the Eastern Roman period, focusing particularly on the commercial history of İzmir. The Valuables section displays gold, silver, and bronze coins and jewelry from the Early Bronze Age to the Eastern Roman period.
