Hıdırlık Bastion in Edirne, built between 1886-1888, played a crucial role in the defense of the city during the Balkan Wars under the command of Şükrü Pasha. The largest of Edirne’s 24 bastions, it includes a headquarters building, 18 artillery rooms, a 120-meter tunnel, and 4 tunnel rooms. The bastion complex also features a guardhouse, barracks, and artillery batteries. Exhibits include firearms, war equipment, and military clothing from the Balkan Wars and Early Republican Period, showcasing the bastion's strategic importance and the bravery shown during Edirne’s defense.
