Journey Through History: Denizli Atatürk House

The Denizli Atatürk House and Ethnography Museum, located in Denizli's Saraylar Mahallesi, is housed in a building dating back to the late 19th century. It initially served as a party building and hosted Mustafa Kemal Atatürk for a night in 1931. Later, it functioned as a Tuberculosis Dispensary before being declared a protected monument by the Ministry of Culture in 1977. The museum officially opened in 1984 after renovations from 1981 to 1983. Ethnographic works are exhibited on the lower floor of the museum, and the rooms on the upper floor, apart from the two rooms where Atatürk's works are exhibited, are arranged as mansions.

Step into the Past at Hierapolis

The Hierapolis (Pamukkale) Archaeological Museum, located in the ancient city of Hierapolis, spans 14,000 square meters and is housed in a Roman bath, gymnasium, and library. The museum features three main halls. The Tombs and Statues Gallery showcases artifacts from Hierapolis and Laodikeia, while the Small Artifacts Gallery displays items from the 4th century BCE onward, including terracotta pots, lamps, jewelry, and coins from multiple historical periods. The Hierapolis Theatre Hall presents intricate reliefs from the theatre’s stage, depicting various mythological and historical scenes. Visitors can also enjoy hot air balloon or paragliding experiences over Pamukkale.
