The historical Hacıbanlar house, a stellar example of Urfa residential architecture, is on Hacıban Street, south of the Ulu Mosque. The House serves as the Culinary Museum (Mutfak Müzesi), established to introduce the culinary culture of Şanlıurfa to Türkiye and the world. The Museum’s exhibits include information on food varieties specific to Şanlıurfa, as well as exhibits on the tools used in kitchens, and table settings of the past. One of nine gastronomy-related museums opened in Türkiye , the Culinary Museum also offers cooking classes at certain times of the year.
