Aşık Veysel Museum

The house of folk singer-poet Aşık Veysel Şatıroğlu in Sivrialan village was expropriated by the Ministry of Culture in 1979 and turned into a museum in 1982. The museum underwent renovations through the Inter-Museum Cultural Alliance Project, adding a new two-storey building with the first floor catering to individuals with visual impairments and the second floor serving as a guesthouse. It showcases Aşık Veysel's personal belongings, photographs, poems, published works about him, and a beeswax statue. To commemorate Aşık Veysel, an annual festival called the "Aşık Veysel Traditional Singer-Poets and Bards Festival" is held every year in Sivas and Şarkışla-Sivrialan village from July 9-11.
