Aynalı Cave (Aynalı Mağarası) is the best rock-tomb complex in Amasya and is an important place for the Christian world. This complex is also home to the mausoleum of the Great Priest Tes, who lived in Amasya in the 2nd century BCE. In the 11th century, the cave was used as a monastic retreat, and inside, there are colorful wall paintings. In the vault section, there are twelve apostles depicted, with six on the right and six on the left.

The mosque was built in 1413. The building that is used as a mosque today was a Halveti Dervish Lodge.
