Çeşme's Alaçatı Yumru Cove—Kite Surf and Wind Surf— is one of the world's most preferred surfing areas for kitesurfing and windsurfing sports, thanks to its geographical location, non-stop wind for eleven months of the year, and shallow waters. The area hosts the World, European, and Turkish Windsurf Championships, along with many other international events. There are high-quality accommodation and food and beverage facilities, as well as numerous qualified centers that provide surfing training in the region. Çeşme Pırlanta Beach, located in Çiftlikköy just 10 kilometers from Çeşme, takes its name from its sand that shines like a diamond. It is famous for its wind and waves and has an ideal geographical structure for kitesurfing, one of the most popular extreme sports in the world in recent years. Pırlanta Beach has become one of the most important centers globally for this sport, thanks to its favorable geographical conditions and wind. A facility providing kitesurfing services operates in the area. In recent years, Alaçatı's advancements in windsurfing and kitesurfing have set an example for many athletes dedicated to these sports in our province, leading to a search for suitable areas. Additionally, kitesurfing and windsurfing activities have started in Urla İçmeler, while windsurfing has begun in Çandarlı and Foça.
