You can start the day by enjoying a traditional Kilis breakfast in a local restaurant. After breakfast, you can stroll around the quaint stone streets and look at the historical mansions, and then visit a few of the 22 tombs of the Companions. For lunch, sample some of the local specialties and then head to Ravanda Castle. After the castle, go to the largest mound in the Middle East, Oylum Tumulus, where excavations are ongoing, and visit the Mosaic Basilica, which reflects the characteristics of the Early Byzantine Art Period. You can conclude your tour by heading to the city centre’s historical bazaars for local olive oil, gerebiç and za’atar. Finish the day with a delicious dinner.
